A reading by four poets celebrating 25 years of distinguished publishing by Autumn House Press. All four poets have found innovative ways to craft poetry from pain: the poems in this reading move from those that explore family violence and loss, queerness in the female Black body and the white male body, mental illness, incarceration, addiction and death. In addition to a dynamic reading, the poets will offer comments on how to write the tough stuff.
